Mrs. Marisa Yarger

With Our Savior's since 2018

My name is Marisa Yarger. I have been a pre-kindergarten (pre-K) teacher for the past 15 years. I have a bachelor’s degree from Holy Family University, extensive post-graduate study in early childhood education, and a California Child Development Master Teacher’s Permit and Site Supervisor Permit.

Most recently, I worked at St. Anne School’s Child Development Center in Laguna Niguel where I was a pre-K teacher and mentor teacher for the last four years. Prior to that, I was a teaching assistant at St. Margaret’s Child Development Center in San Juan Capistrano. Prior to coming to California in 2011, I taught at several private Christian schools in the Philadelphia suburbs.

I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Due to my husband’s job, we relocated to Southern California seven years ago. We have been married for over 30 years and have a 24-year old son (an engineer in Louisiana) and a 28-year old daughter (a software development manager in Southern California).

Teaching young children is truly my passion. I find working with the children and their families extremely rewarding. I feel blessed to be teaching pre-kindergarten at Our Savior’s Lutheran Preschool in the coming school year, and I can’t wait to meet the children and families of this wonderful preschool. I look forward to guiding your children in their emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual growth.
