Mrs. Jacqueline Micallef

Jacqueline Micallef holds a M.A. in Education focusing in Leadership in Early Education as well as a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Studies with an emphasis on Early Education. Her high quality education is combined with over twenty-five years working experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Micallef most recent position was her role as the resource teacher for a Pre-Kindergarten program where she facilitated and planned the curriculum and instruction for an NAEYC accredited program. Mrs. Micallef also supervised, evaluated, and worked closely with classroom teachers in the implementation of the daily curriculum and other classroom management needs. This experience gave Mrs. Micallef exceptional leadership and communication skills, and the ability to be flexible and adaptable. Mrs. Micallef believes in modeling developmentally appropriate practices and has served as a mentor teacher for students enrolled in Early Childhood Education classes, as well as overseen ancillary staff duties. She has also assisted the training needs of teaching staff and presenting individual or group mentoring. Continuing education is a strong passion of Mrs. Micallef who is committed to life-long learning where she regularly attends professional group meetings, conferences, and workshops, with the intention of maintaining awareness of new trends and developments in the field of care and education, and incorporating them as necessary. Mrs. Micallef long term goal is for her to stay in the field of high quality Early Childhood Education while teaching classes to adults who wish to pursue higher education in Early Childhood Education. She is currently in training to teach classes at Saddleback College.
